On "Exes" and the probablity of sex

While John makes out that sex with a particular ex is a given, I am not so sure.

But, I think this may return to a recurring conversational theme of ours about the different appetites (generally rather than specifically) of men and women.  I have trouble understanding, or perhaps believing, that a young man approached by a strange woman would necessarily be likely to say yes to no strings attached sex.

I mean, I would be unlikely to if genders were reversed, and I am both highly sexual and have a broad range of taste in men.  But John assures me that it is different for men.

So, to illustrate our different points of view:

I chat, as a matter of course, with every check out attendant at our local grocery store.  There are some who really like me and who I continue long running conversations with.  One such is a young man.  Now that I am open to the idea of sex with people who are not John, I can't help wondering, while I talk with the young man about his college course and what he will be doing tonight with his friends: how would he look naked and would he be interested in fucking me.

I spoke with John about it, putting forward the argument that:

1. this young man is so nice 
2. I am so nice to him
3. his little shiny world view would shatter if i propositioned him

John categorically disagrees. He thinks that if I slipped this young man my number he would call.

Back to the forthcoming excursion.

I think it is likely that the "ex" wants to catch up with me, because I am nice and easy to talk to, and does not expect sex or have designs to get lucky.  I think he may, in fact, be taken aback by my proposition, and may be shocked and appalled; Catholic guilt may also come into play.

However, I am trying to stay positive and hoping for outdoor sex against an obliging tree, preferably somewhere beautiful, weather permitting.
