Mistresses, bisexual shenanigans, and babysitting

So, in Claire's last post she mentioned that today I was meeting my "mistress".  Well, "mistress" is most definitely not the choice of words I would use!  The lady in question (lets call her Louise) I met via an online dating site; her profile said she was up for "casual dating" and "nothing serious".  So, my first date with Louise, I met her in a pub, and had a very nice time.  She was lovely company: smart, sarcastic, and optimistic.  However, I'm completely not used to making a move in order to get sex, so the first date ended very chastely with not so much as a kiss. 

So, rather than meeting my mistress tomorrow, I would say a more accurate version is I'm "having a second date with a woman I'm trying to get into bed". 

As Claire and I were discussing the other day, boundaries and definitions in this whole "open relationship" endeavor can be tricky.  For example, Claire is meeting another woman today; they plan to go shopping, get to know each other, then go back to a hotel room and get it on.  That sounds great!  I would love for me to be able to arrange the same with a woman, but it doesn't quite work like that for male-female relationships.  If you state from the outset that you are really just interested in meeting and fucking, you turn off the vast majority of women.  If a woman wants to just meet someone and fuck, she pretty much can at any nightspot around here; she doesn't need to arrange it all via the internet. 

So this leaves me, I think, with two choices: either go out on the pull in bars and nightclubs, or go for the whole "casual dating" thing and try to get it on with women.  This is where the problem comes in, because whilst Claire is absolutely fine with me fucking other women, "dating" them is a different matter.  I don't think Claire and I are really up for "polyamory" in the true sense - we don't want a loving caring relationship with more than the two of us. What we want is a loving caring relationship between only the two of us, but with both of us able to fuck other people.  I don't know if there is a name for that, other than having your cake and eating it too....


Anyway, all that aside, Claire is going to fuck another woman today!  Woo!  I'm really excited for her, and can't wait to hear all about it!  Claire is nervous, because this is something she has fantasized about for years, and now it's finally happening.  I hope she loves it to bits, and I hope I get to hear all about it!  In the meantime I'll be babysitting, which I'm looking forward to as well.  Extra parent-child time is good.
